Whats up everyone? I've been seeing lately that there are a bunch of us that still browse and post on the site, but no longer ride. I figured I'd start a thread for us to post up some pictures of our rides from back in the day...
We got my Z stock when they first came out in late 2002 and I added to it until I sold it a few years ago...
This is the way it looked when I sold it:

I didn't like the huge rear fenders so I came up with this cut... I don't think I've seen anyone do a cut just like this and I was real happy with it when I was done. I didn't notice any extra dirt flying around either with less rear fender.

It was a great bike and I rode it in all kinds of stuff (track, woods, sand pits, snow). I eventually started riding less and less for all the usual reasons and eventually got rid of it. The guy I sold it to still rides it just the way its pictured above.
Small Side Story:
I was finally going riding one Sunday in late fall and busted out the quad in the early a.m. to start it up and get ready. Well unfortunately this was when I was riding maybe once a month so the battery was on its way out and had hardly any cranking power. So whatever its 8:30 am at the latest and I can only get the quad to crank over once (meaning get the motor to turn only one revolution) before the battery would run out of juice. I tried like 10 times and on the last time it let out the LOUDEST backfire I've ever heard out of anything. My ears were ringing and it sounded like a shotgun went off right next to me... Now here is a picture of the exact placement of the quad and everything at that moment:

So I'm like OH FUQ ARE YOU SERIOUS.. I figured the neighbors were up by now... So I peek over that wooden fence in the background slowly rising up so just my eyes were showing hoping that no one was outside yet and heard it. Well I look over and my neighbor is standing there with his groceries looking exactly in my direction just like this:

He's an older retired guy and definitely thought I shot a gun because you can't see the quad through that fence. I'm not sure if he spotted me peeking so just to clear things up I pushed the quad into the front yard and made it backfire again so I'd be in the clear :p ...Ended up charging the battery real fast, started it up for a second, packed up ASAP and left to go riding and the battery was dead when I hopped on to hit the trails  ...Pretty much since around that time he stopped waving to me
Not sure why but I still think about that story from time to time haha.
So post up your old rides and stories from back in the day! I know theres a bunch of guys on here that had some nice bikes and were in the sport for ages.
