Im having a hard time firguring out how to remove the counter balancer shaft. there is a cover on the left side but idk if i have to take it off. This motor has never been apart and im doing it for a friend but if the cover on the left side that sits against the shaft is supposed to come off how should i go about doing that?

Or can i split the cases how it is and the counter balancer shaft will come out along with the right side case?

Take the clutch cover off, and after removing two bolts and the retainer, the counterbalencer shaft should slide right out.

You just need to make sure it is turned the right way once you get the retainer off, and it will slide right out.
