decompressor question

Im in the process of reassembling the top end in the 400ex. I have decided to re-use the stock cam. Do I have to do anything special to set the decompressor mechanism when I install the cam? I did not make any changes to the decompressor. I just left it like it was. Any special attention needed? or can I just put the spring and plunger in the head and install the cam and set the timing like usual?



Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. I'm not very familiar with decompressors. Thanks in advance.

Nope, just place it back in there, assemble the top end and set your timing like you said.
