what did the use for a boot on lower joint and the clip that holds it in is like 1/2 inch from the bearing. is there some special bushing?

theres a aluminum bushing that was dished out so it doesnt limit movement of the joint. i beleive it has an oring grove machines on the out side of it and it does have a grease zerk on the bottome as well. then the snap ring goes in behind it. let me know if this is what your asking about.
