I was in need of a skid plate for my Laeger Narrow Pro-Trax chassis.....got lookin' at the frame on my 400ex and thought "I bet the one for the 400ex would fit."

So I ordered a Pro-Armour skid for a 400ex.

Lined it up with the bend of the frame rails and started to mark the mounting holes.....the punched holes for the 400ex clamps that were supplied were in the wrong spot....so I took an 8mm bolt....cut the head of and ground a point on it.....then I screwed it into the frame....held the skid plate where I wanted it....and whacked it with a hammer so the point would leave a mark so I'd know exactly where to drill the holes....worked perfect for the other two holes....Here' the end result....

This is what I did to the bolt to make the marks I needed to know exactly where to drill.

I'll be using a 450r skid from pro armour.
Btw, I like the color on those arms.... :)

Yeah! I do too! That's why I didn't strip them down and re-powder them...I got them from a really nice guy in Indiana...:D
