Got lost motor hot started smoking

Last week when at brushy ridge me and buddy got lost one quad got stuck tried pull it out with mine after running for long time engine was very hot on my leg and was smoking from pipe blue smoke i know that would be rings but after i shut it off and let cool then went on another ride it didnt smoke anymore any ideas? Could the oil just have thinned out to much from being so hot and slipped past the rings?

Thats a possibility.

If you watch much GNCC, you can see that at the end of races Borich is usually puffing a little blue smoke when he crosses the finish line, but when he gets up on the podium after he shuts it off and lets it cool for a few mins, and pegs it on the rev limiter he isnt blowing smoke anymore.

Idk, if it quit i personally wouldnt worry about it.
