Just posted up my NOS plastics. The full set with hood. Please help spread the word to anyone looking. We'll see what kind of $$ these are going to bring...should be exciting to watch, or so I hope :-)

Ebay NOS '88 full plastics (http://www.ebay.com/itm/110876396698?item=110876396698&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MESE:IT&vxp=mtr#ht_1131wt_1159)

That's sweet man I saw them on there your at 2k already!!! Nice!!! I'm curious what my oem red plastics will go for with some scuffing? Not the race cut ones I have on eBay now... I just put 26 auctions up all r parts except for two rc51 exhaust items

I guess I just don't get it. I'd much rather buy a complete ready-to-ride 250R with new aftermarket plastics for that price...

But, good luck with the sale...

OEM plastics are very highly sought after. I don't have the kinda money this auction is going to fetch, but I'd spend $800 on new OEM before I'd spend $500 on Fullbores.

I have a set of OEM brand new 1989 white plastics, including the hood with headlamp. Have thought about listing them, but ya just can;t replace them once they are gone.

Well, no movement on them over the weekend. We'll see what happens over the last couple hours.

While you can't replace them, why sit on something unused, that has appreciated so much in value? I'll take my OEM plastics that are not perfect, all day long if it means $2k in my pocket for something that's been taking up space in my home for 6 years.

I guess I just don't see the value in a mint OEM showroom quad unless it's being sold at top dollar. I am working on getting my quad looking nearly new again, but I just couldn't stomach bolting up the new plastics since it would destroy the value they have being untouched in their original boxes....and certainly not add $2k+ in value to the quad.

I guess if and when I sell my 89 250r, it will look pretty! Just like my full set of OEM new Honda FL400R plastics! Money just aint everythinig to some of us!

Thats cool yfzrob cause I can guarantee one day down the line when that 2000 dollars is pissed away cause lets be honest how far does 2 grand get you in life...? You will regret selling the NIB OEM fenders... you may never admit it but it will bum you out..Goodluck.

I have four quads, three PWCs, and a dirt bike. Maybe if this was my only toy, I'd feel differently. Trust me...I may miss staring at the 250R assuming I sell it, but I'll certainly won't miss something that has been in a box taking up space for 6 years. Seeing how I'm considering parting with my R, it makes the plastic that much less valuable to me. As it is now, I am only sitting on the R because of a childhood obsession over the 250R...and my wife won't let me sell it, lol. Riding it around the neighborhood puts a smile on my face a few times a year but 90% of my off road riding now is hare scrambles...something the KTM is significantly superior doing compared to the old girl.

Unreal how much money these plastics are bringing nowadays.

It's nuts! 5 hours left on the listing.

That went for a lot less then people sitting on sets would of liked them to go for.

I was hoping for $2500...But pleased with $2325 plus shipping seeing how I paid under $700. If I could only see that kind of appreciation on the whole quad. That'd be the same as getting $15k for my quad that I paid $4800 for back in 2004.

It's too bad that eBay and Paypal (eBay again) will take so much of that profit from you

At last count I was at around 14 quads, three dirt bikes, three PWC's, a Pilot, two FL350's,and who knows what else, and Classic Honda plastic still kind of hold a place in my heart! To each his own! Actually just last night I offered to sell my 89 trx250r, so who knows, the plastic my be gone soon as well.

Exactly...there's always a time when it's worth more to you in your wallet (or a new toy) than it is taking up space in your garage.

Between the aftermarket parts, OEM plastics, and OEM decals...maybe even the OEM seat, I'm looking at around $3500. Time to start shopping for a new toy with that cash...AND I'll still have my 250R looking good in it's original plastics and decals.
