I hope he finally gets his determination and drive back and that the zuk works out well form him....he's exciting to watch, and he makes the rest of the competiton step up their "A" game as well....

He may not be getting a paycheck from the team, but I would bet he is still getting something from his other sponsors, that is where the real money is anyway. Figure this is how he makes his living, he is not going to race and risk injury for nothing.

Hope he does well with the new bike. While not a Bubba fan, when the guy is on, he is awesome to watch.

Actually no he wont start getting paid till the start of the 2013 super-cross season. He is racing for pride and for himself he even said it in the puplmx show the other night with Matthes. He doesn't care if he doesn't win at hang-town... he is there to ride and dial in the bike..It seems like he wants it more now then ever...like he has something to prove to himself and thats the scary part.

James will be flying. I have watch a lot of the MX races from 2006 / 2008 and he was comfortable on the Kawi. Just unstoppable (minus RC of course) unless he crashed.

Over the last couple years I could tell he was not comfortable on the Yamaha and when your not comfortable you cannot push the limits.

IF stewie is comfortable on the Suzuki...look out.

Good to see him getting out there for the outdoors.

Ben300's right though. He's got some other sponsors that are probably sending him some decent checks every month. I'm sure Yosh/Suzuki will supply him with anything he wants/needs during the season anyway. The added publicity of having him on the team alone will bring in more revenue for the team, being able to sell merchandise with his name on it and all.

I just hope he doesn't use the excuse of not having a contract to just say "forget this" and quit the season halfway through for some ridiculous reason, since he has no contractual obligations to ride for Yosh/Suz.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the season and hoping he does well on the Suzuki!

He can go out and ride maybe 75% of his ability and still win a championship this year. Who else is going to touch him?

I agree if he was making no money at all this summer he would not be wearing a red bull helmet. What they get from the factories is nothing compared to sponsorships.

He said he feels as tho he should be paid to ride at his level but he is just so excited to ride a bike that goes where he wants it to that hes not worried about the money...He even makes a point to say "I have made plenty of money its not a worry to me". Haven't listend to the podcast, (If it is 30 some odd minutes long, I have better things to do then listen to James for that long, not that interested in him. Besides, what has been linked isn't showing up for me anyway.) but I am willing to bet he will say what ever he has to say to rebuild his image, keep sponsors, make good with his new team, etc. Remember, he is a PAID athlete, he will do what he has to. Yes, I do believe he wants to race outdoors and think he is stoked to do it, but not getting paid for it, well, show me the contracts he signed at the beginning of the year and his W2 at the end of the year, then I will believe it. Yeah I've always enjoyed seeing him outdoors more so than SX. That's what really shows how ridiculously fast he can be on a bike. He sounds like he is humble with starting slow and working on getting better. He also looks like he is simply having fun in all the videos I've seen of him on the Suzuki. A patient James that is having fun again has gotta be a scary thought for everyone else running outdoors.

..i honestly really hope he does really well for suzuki for a few reasons,

1) he's exciting to watch and makes watching the pro's super enjoyable because of his lighting fast riding style

2)the rest of the competition has to step up. like him or not he's good for motocross and motocross is better, WAY better when theres a bunch of really good guys challenging for the series title.

i loved watching RC race in the 2000's but the guy was just too good and it got boring watching him win every single thing he entered.

at least with a healthy steward, reed, dungey, poto, and a few other guys it makes the racing really good cause anyone of them could win on any given day

3) i hope he does well and it helps suzuki's sales. i also hope suzuki **** cans the suzuki car line or sells it off.. thaty way the wont be financially hurting and they can bring back out the LTR........i really wanna buy a new LTR and set it up for woods racing

Hes a team manager for Motoconcepts now.

I am pretty sure. I know thats why he quit racing in 09. I think he is still with them.

They did an interview on him in 2010 and he said he feels like he can do much more for the sport this way rather than racing.

i cant fathom going that fast. like i literally just cant! like i cant fathom that, like i cant fathom riding the space shuttle to outer space, or liek i cant fathom throwing a touchdown to the the super bowl, like i cant fathom i dunno..

Here's a GoPro from his home track. Ben300, this video REALLY makes it hard to fathom. If I ever got that sideways on a bike I'd probably just pass out before I hit the ground lol.
