I am wanting to shave my front fenders to make them "race" style. What is the best way to go about doing this? I just worry about messing them up and cutting them uneven or something like that. Would like to know the most popular ways of going about doing this?

I simply took some electrical tape and ran it down the seem on the finder closest to the bike. I used that line to make my cut, with a jig saw, leaving about a 1/6” from the tape. Then I used a die grinder to smooth it up. Be very carful not to get the plastic to hot or it will melt. Take your time with the grinder.
I left about ¾” of the finder past the seem.

pretty much what he said ^^. leave them mounted on your atv. i used electrical tape to since it's really flexible to outline where to cut and to make both sides even.

once both sides even with electrical tape i used a permanent marker to draw the cut lines along the tape.

pull tape off and it would be best to use a saws all sp?

after cutting with electric saw use razor blade to clean up the rough plastic boogers on the edge.

there are 2 styles for stock cut fenders. this way...

Some people say to use a razor blade but hell with that. I did myn last night and was gonna use a razor but I tried it and it was a fail. I used an air grinder with a cutting wheel, and a torch after. I also sanded off the really rough stuff with some 220 grit sandpaper, wet.

the absolute best way to cut fenders is with a 4 1/2in grinder with a metal cut off wheel, it cuts straight and smooth and you can use it to sand the rough edges also.
