Hello everyone, I have a newer TRX90, that I just bought. Everything on this quad is custom (except seat), like elka shocks, big bore with wiseco piston, laeger A-arms, piped with a yokoshima or something like that, an some DG nerf bars. Over $20,000 in motor and suspension. This thing is in real good, running shape, but I don't have the rear end (axle, carrier, hubs, etc) for it. It has an aftermarket swing arm (fincher?) and the inner diameter is approximately 3 and 3/16". I don't want to spend the $300-$400 for a new axle, so I am wondering what other rear ends could I put in it? I'm new with high performance quads, so any help would be great. Thanks

If it's that high quality of a quad then i would get a dominator axle and some factory hubs.Probably have to call fincher for the bearing carrier.Should be able to use the factory sprocket hub also.Rear brakes i don't know.

Yeah... I was hoping I didn't need to go that route. I've looked up the pricing of the rear end and it would cost between $600-$800 for the whole setup... Don't people sometimes put 300ex axles in these things? If so, couldn't I use the carrier too if it's the correct size?

yeah i see them with 300 and 400 ex set-ups.Didn't this thing come stock with drum brakes in the rear?

It has always had a disc brake on the rear axle and has discs on the front too. I do have the caliper, but no axle.

**Also, it is a high flow Yoshimura whole exhaust system, and also has either stage 3 or 4 Elkas.

I think it is too, but without a rear end, it won't be able to move very far... maybe I'll post some pictures of it after it's done.

300ex or 400ex axle and other misc. will work for you. You could run stock or aftermarket from either machine. However, make sure the brake caliper mount and brake rotor all match. If you get a rear rotor and rotor hub from a 300ex, you will need the caliper mount from the 300 also.

Post some pics!

thanks for the extra info; i found a local person who is parting out a 450R and they still have the rear axle assembly for $100. Would that axle work as long as i get the braking setup and the carrier (and any other misc things i could get)?

do either of them have shipping available? I am in Minnesota and wouldn't want to drive a long distance for an axle (as long as it is more expensive then the places around here ~$400, otherwise I may, but it would depend on the distance...)

450r will work, if you get it all. A little wider than the 3 & 400 though... Ebay would be a good place to get it all.
