Pro design foam filter and clamp

I just bought a pro design foam filter and billet clamp for my yfz450r. My question is...

Do you oil both the yellow foam filter and the red prefilter? Or just the yellow? Sorry if this is a dumb question

When I had one, I'd oil the outer red filter very heavily then work the oil in and wring it out. Then I'd wipe what was left on my hands on the inner yellow filter. It's not much oil on the inner filter...but it did the trick. I never found a single speck of dirt in my intake.
