Plastics Compatibility

I was curious if the 2005 or newer 400ex front plastics would mount up to a first generation 400ex. Then on that note, I was wondering if the 450r hood is the same as the 400ex hood.

What I am trying to do is get the red 450r quad tech hood on the 400ex since you can't buy 400ex hoods anymore.

Yes on the plastics, dunno about the hoods.

The plastics will mount up with a little modification to the mounts. And the 04-05 450R hood will fit on the 05-07 400ex plastics. The headlight is also identical.

Good to know I am looking forward to this, I really want to give my 400ex a unique look, mostly cause I wish it looked like a 450r haha
