Hey everyone my name is James and im from the eastern panhandle of WV. I been doin alot of work on my ex and I decided to make a build thread.

I used to have a blaster, then traded it for a blown rm250, rebuilt the 250 rode it for a few weeks and traded it for this gem, 2004 400ex with a 426 bbk. It needed a little work but the jack*** I traded with didn't tell me 3rd gear was slowly going out and ignored my calls and all after it got worse, I even test rode it and I could tell it was acting weird in 3rd but we were in wet/muddy grass and I thought I was just spinning.

So I just finished up my junior year of college and now I have my free time in the summmer to work on it and just really started tearing it apart. Here is what it looked like the day I brought it home..

I dont know how to post pics...if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated :D and no suspension mods done to it yet, I'd like to get 450r front shocks eventually. When I first got the bike it had some off brand +2 A arms but I sold them to a buddy with a 400ex for 100$ and got his OEM A arms!
