Because he needs a question answered and there isnt much traffic flow on the z400 forums.. Is that ok?

Ron, most of the important parts have already been mentioned. The carb is difficult to jet, but hopefully there should not be major adjustments considering the plan. Make sure the sliding points for the chain adjuster do not get covered in lube while spraying the chain. Also, one upgrade that I would definitely recommend is a manual cam chain tensioner. The stock automatic tensioner will cause premature wear on the chain. Everything else is pretty straight forward.
