450R to a 450ER??

Is it possible to convert a kick starter to an electric start/kick starter combo or just an electric start?
I have a 2005 kick start 450R and would like the convenience of having an electric start so i can start faster in the harescrambles races.
I have thought about buying a cheap non modded 04/05 450ER and swap the wire harness, electric motor, battery, battery box, and whatever else it needs.
Or just "wtb" all the necessary parts i need to convert it over to ER.
The question is, is it possible and not break the bank?
Any suggestions and advice anyone wants to share is welcome.

electric start model's did not start until 2006, so you wont be able to get any OEM parts to fit, i believe GEOKE makes an electric start kit for the 04/05 but it is not nearly as clean as the 06+ OEM ones, with the correct set up you will be able to kick over faster than an EStart unless you get an 06+ and do the dual battery mod, even then though the electric start on these bikes is very prone to failure with any real motormods.

Thanks rollie, i wasn't even sure if they did make electric start for 05 and under. I need help making my kicker start as fast as possible, so what is the correct set up? i have duncan vortex igniction, hot cam stage 2 cam, HRC air box lid, etc.
Any suggestions?

Proper jetting.
Do that and you shouldn't have a problem

and make sure when you kick you have it at the compression stroke(it will become much harder to turn over the motor). and make sure your valves are adjusted. mine starts almost first kick every time

I used to run electic start for Harescrambles, but I installed a kicker and haven't used electric since. Two of my friends have done the same. 9 times out of 10, my quad starts faster when I kick it.
