Will going from 91 to 108 or 110 race fuel warrant a jetting change? Or if i mix it 50/50 will i see a performance gain? Was looking to run race gas on race day for a bit more perfromance & cooler temp

Thanks!

Unless your 400 is built for it then using race gas is pointless.

Running the race fuel does get U a tad of a crisper throttle. I feel like anyway. But really if your running stock compression it probably not worth the money. I would mix it tho if you do just to make the race gas last u longer. I use to run mix gas when mine was stock too. It always seem to make mine start better.

I have recently been running VP VPR fuel. Its leaded 101 octane. I have actually noticed the bike alot more crisper and better throttle response. Better starting and much cleaner burning too. I have a stock piston and I didnt change my jetting at all. The only possible bad thing about the fuel is of course, the price lol.

yeah I've never had to rejet with race fuel either.

Believe what you want to believe, the only reason the quad runs better is that fuel burns differently. Its not worth the 6 bucks or more a gallon however.

You gain nothing using it but less money in your wallet.

Idk where you gonna get your race gas, but your gonna spend the money on it. You should try a get more like 100 or 105. I know vp makes several lower octane race fuels. I'm running 110vp but only cause a can get it easily a the pump around here. But its still $6.99gal. Mine ex's only running 11.1 piston and runs fine on 93, but I feel like the race gas is just better gas opposed to 93 at a gas station pump. They just put to many additives in pump gas these days. I mean why spend big money on performance mods and run cheap gas. Most people will buy expensive better performing oil for their engines. So why not gas?

Stock or built motors. Race gas is just a better performing fuel either way.

I dont know if anyone has a delta sonic near them but i get my gas there thay have 100 octane race gas. I use it in 11:1 just because it keeps temps down a tad and it smells good. :D

Cjm, its not that im saying i dont believe you, it is that they answered my specific question on jetting, not whether it is worth the money. And i gotta agree with zeb on the fact we spend tons on mods, trailers etc & that makes the extra cost of gas negligible in the scheme of things. Kinda like a guy at the gas station asking me about the mileage my defender 90 gets... As always thanks everyone for the valuable input!
