I finally got around to putting my AC propegs nerfs on today. As usual nothing goes as planned.:ermm: Of course the instructions were missing. The bars themselves were pretty easy to install but when I got to the heel guards..... They sure didn't fit "just right". I had to really force the small gage aluminum against the peg just to be able to line up the bolt on the frame. Good thing they're flexible. I don't know if they make them that way on purpose so that they fit tighter or what but it seemed to be a heck of a hassle for some pretty expensive nerfs. Just my 2 cents. After I was done though it really looked good. The footpegs are great. I feel more safe now than I have since "The Accident". My foot slipped off the stock peg and went under the wheel when I was landing a little jump. (baad sprain!) Now I know what nerfs nets are for. ;)
Anybody else got their foot caught under a tire goin' 30mph or so?

I jumped an approach going about 35 and my right foot got ran over by the back wheel and I bent the footpeg straight down with my knee, luckily I didn't bust my knee cap but there was a nice hole in it from the footpeg. I still have the pants I was wearing when it happened, theres a tire mark all the way up the back of the pant leg. That one tickled a little.

Yeah my AC's are great propegs but the install was shyt which I did complain to AC about.. The front frame bolt wasn't long enough so you had to you the other bolts... Also I did have to tweak the bars here and there to make them fit. From what I understand everyone has this problem but I notice after I had mine on for a while that when I take them off the seem to hold the shape a bit better making them easier to put back on...

my heel plates didn't evan come close to fitting on my quad they were about 2.5 inches to short. hay fearthisracer if your looking to free up some closet space, I'll take your heel guards.
