LAZY!!! lol

anyways haven't done it myself yet but spread the subframe with a bottle jack. and rasie the airbox using washers, or old sockets. also you can leave it loose so that when it does contact the caliper, it flexes instead of breaking.

I stuck my sub-frame in a shop press to bend it. I also used zip-ties(yes, zip ties) to raise my box and it works fine. It's also what Laz did to raise the airbox on his sons 400 when they installed the link on it when he raced. Make sure you space your exhaust out so it doesn't contact the caliper either.

Even with the linkage and a shock that honestly wasnt setup for it-NOTHING hit my airbox, what I did manage to hit was the axle into my muffler.

Even with the no good shock it was very nice on washboards and whoops.

I took a bottle back and pushed the subframe out with that, took all of 10 mins.

Here's a link to the page of my rebuild thread I did. I put pics in there on where I put them. I removed the 2 rear clips for the lid and ran the ties through those tabs and around the flat cross brace on the frame. then wrapped 2 around the front 2 tabs to the frame.

Heres some pics. My spacer on the airbox just under 1/2in and as u can see I've cracked the box. That makes two boxes now. I didn't space it at all the first time a destroyed the the first box. Also had the remove a bolt from the seat latch to make room for the spacing of the box. I didn't do anything to the sub-frame. It just wore in that way. The exhaust is space about 1in. Anyone thinking of getting this link, do it! It makes the rear feel total different in a good way. Redoing the rear shock is not a must, but it will just make this setup all the better. I got mine done by jet suspension. But everyone like the gtt shock just as well.

Yea, the link makes the rear a totally different animal. Turns it into a pro bike imo. Deff. go though and make sure everything clears when you do it if you don't want to be bashing your sub-frame, airbox, caliper, exhaust and sprocket nuts to death.
