i have a set of fox podium x evol and set up for motocross, i am not sure if adding air pressure to fox shock will make length get longer, im new to fox shocks, but they measure 18 1/2 eye to eye but i called fox and give part number and they said they where 19.5 and thats the size im needing to order the right a arm? im just puzzled any help?

also they are long travel and im wanting to use roll design and i called roll design and they said they require a 19.5 front shock

I assume you mean the shocks are Fox Float X Evols, not Podiums? Is there any air pressure in them now? Pump the main chamber to above 40psi and re-measure. Floats use an internal top out spring; if there is not air pressure to offset this spring, they won't be fully extended. Also, make sure you are measuring from center of hole to center of hole.

Yes sorry I mean fox float x but OK I will try that I sure hope that's what it is I'm new to fox shocks so this is reason why asking
