Gots ta get you a set of dem 400EX a-arms, and den gets some of dem shocks. Den you need to get dem new upper shock mounts or it aint gonna work. Just buy some of dem Elka shocks.

if you dont want to spend alot on aftermarket shocks get some works, elkas are overpriced for just recreation, imo, the 400ex shock would fit if you do what 300exman says, but i do not think its worth the work because the 400ex shock isnt that much better than the 300....but some works for 300$

No they won't work I have already tried. I have a 400ex and a 300ex. When I bought new a-arms and shocks for my 400ex, I took the stock 400 a-arms and put them on the 300. Then I tried to put the 400ex shocks on the 300 and they are too tall. The 300ex shocks will work with the 400ex a-arms or you can do what I did and put some blaster works shocks on it.

I earlier posted in a similiar topic and I ask my friend that tried doing that and it didn't work!! He did keep the 400ex a-arms on but did get a pair of works. I earlier posted that it did work but I forgot that he got the works!!

if you put on 400ex arms, tie rods, then the 400 shocks will work fine. Check out the post '400ex shocks on a 250x'. Ask 250x, he did it and said it works great.

It dose work i did it to mine. I did have to compress the shocks though but i like it and it works great.
