Ive been reading about everyones experiences with different builds, and I've come to the conclusion, I think, that I want a 4mm stroker crank, 11:1 comp 408 or 416 bore, stage 2 hot cam, mild port polish, ground header welds, pro circuit t4 s slip on, kibblewhite valves and hard face rockers, Ohh hd head studs.. Am I missing anything, how will a small bore stroker handle? Thanks

Hard face rockers are not needed with Hotcams.

I love my 440 stroker (4mm stroke/416 bore--87mm piston). It's been very reliable and runs strong.

I'm basically tryin to get the power of a built 440 without all the extra heat of the 440 lol.. Tryin for reliability and what brand crank did you buy and what's needed for install

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure if you run hard face rockers with a hotcam it will wreck the hotcam... so I wouldn't do that lol

Glad to know that... Just thought hardface would last longer lol

dont forget a bigger carb. if you did all those mods the stock carb would be the bottleneck in your build. Ive had great luck with a 39mm fcr carb from a yfz450. Starts awesome, idles perfect, and if you got your flywheel lightened it revs alot quicker than stock.
