Sweet Quad! I'm assuming you didn't adjust your camber, caster, toe before taking these pics?

Damn that's sweet!!! How many 250Rs do you have? Me and Chris Harper were talking at a race a couple weekends ago and he said he was thinking you had 2 Laegers and maybe even a Walsh.

im not sure either but i can tell you that people who have protrax front ends always have that asked to them... the inner wheel always turns more then the outer and the camber if you set it up right is suppose to be angled in... thats the beauty of pro trax you can hammer through a turn without setting up for a turn because the fornt tires are already angled for it.

Nice build. I hope somebody takes a video or even has a gopro vid would be amazing for that race. Wish I could race it but way too far

I don't think it's sad. I don't like that it seems like this is a throw back class, an antique class, makes it seem like our 250R's can't compete any more.

What's sad is that more riders don't race their 250R's at the nationals in the normal classes. Why do we need to single them out with a throw-back class that makes it seem like we don't belong at the races any more if we don't ride a new 450?

Current national classes that allow for a 250R to compete:

Pro Am Unlimited

450A
450B
450C

Open A
Open B
Open C

16-24
25+
30+A
30+C
40+

And yes, I'll be at Red Bud racing my "throw-back" 250R this year. Wish I had the time and money to race them all.

I was there! I wanted to race saturday also so I signed up in the 30+c class. I had a pretty decent ride saturday in my quilifier coming from 10th in the first turn out of 11 up to 4th. Its almost imposible to get a good start against those 4 strokes with a 265 motor! lol Sunday in moto 2 again I got a great jump off the start but half way up the hill they all closed in on me. I was 17th out of 20 coming out of the first turn and worked my way up to 8th half way through the 4th lap and was passing a guy on a Can-Am and he decided to cut me off and I went tumbling off the track. Bent my handlebars broke my QT hood and tank cover and ripped my seat cover. More importantly I seperated my shoulder and bruised my hip! I was unable to run the throwback class after all that. Their was some more Rs at Muddy Creek but those guys said they didnt want to pay dues for AMA. I will say that my Rs got more attention than probably any quad there. I will put up some pics later. It was still a really awesome weekend and was great to see alot of old friends and now Im looking for a 330 engine! lol

Glad to hear you are ok Dustin! I think its cooler that you ran on saturday then sunday and yea i can understand that a 265 has a hard time against a national built 450 motor haha :). Looking forward to the pics and I wish you a speedy recovery!

Not sure about the 295cc in MX, but I know for sure in EDT we have the 2 stroke cc up to 306cc & can run the 2 stroke in the Pro Am class, plus all those above classes listed.

Hate you had that tumble Dustin, glad it was no worse than it was though.

Just and FYI...

NEATV does NOT require AMA membership dues. Only NEATV membership (day rider passes available).

plus....

You can run up to 450cc 2 stroke. That's right...there is no difference between 4 stroke and 2 stroke motor size. Except for the Pro class which has production rules.

I am running a 280cc cylinder right now and have a 330cc cylinder I am hoping to have running by the end of the season.

Sadly this year I'm not running my 250R in NEATV, needs to be rebuilt, might end up doin a few races with my 450R, but man I miss racing my 250R at neatv. Next year hopefully have her done and take a run a unadilla nats in c class :)
