Im not one to complain, but what a cluster (bleep) maier plastics are. Had to do major mods just to get it to work on the front end alone. If it wasn't trying to go for the carbon fiber look on my retro build I should have listened to everyone on this forum that said fullbore was the way to go.
now I'm kicking myself.
AND I haven't even figured out how Im going to modify the rear bracket. Is it even necessary at this point?

Are you talking about the rear fender support? If so, I didn't use it, I don't think your supose to. I'm surprised your having such a hard time, I installed mine in prob 10 mins and they look great. Here is a pic of mine.

I've used the rear fender support on both an old set of Maier and the new set here in the picture. The new plastic has stiffening ribs on the rear fenders so they aren't as floppy as the old design but I like running the support as it keeps the plastic from hitting the exhaust and melting it when landing from jumps, riding in a far back position where your legs are pushing down on the fenders or when there is 10 pounds of mud on each fender in a mud race!

Can you post closer pics and more detail of how you installed it.

Same here I love em. Couple of holes to drill but nothing major. Has your frame been modified or something. What are your issues.

I didn't have to drill any holes, maybe I was lucky with my set? It literarly took me 10 mins tops to install them and and fit is great.

over the past couple of years i have installed probably 6 sets of Maier fenders and I never had a problem. Their newest stuff is much better quality also.
