JT ones now front and back with a did x ring chain

15/38 running 18s currently since they were my spare set usually with 20s though. ill have my 20s again next week when i buy them.

i like that setup the best with just about every combination of mods that i have tried.

14 is just too low in front with a 38

16/38 is a great cruising setup really and is enjoyable to run trails also since you can basically have an over drive with 20s.

a 39 rear would probably be pretty nice on a stock machine with a 15 front and 20s i think, thats about the only combo that i didnt try out really during my builds.

This is off subject but what is the difference/advantage to a x ring chain rather then a o rings chain??

the x ring has a different seal inside of it to help keep the oil inside of it better. this results in a better seal for keeping the chain oiled. this helps to keep the crud out of it and makes it last longer.

the did one has a better tensile strength than most o ring chains of comparable specs also, this isnt always a trait of an x ring though, its just a nice bene of running that one.

steve Ok thanks for the info. I'm gonna be needing a new chain soon but i'm just not sure what one to get.

steve Oh i see but door county is nice but there is NO trails or tracks at all so that really SUCKS.

definitely not many tracks in wi thats for sure. we have one in central wi but it is a bike only track it seems like.

midway raceway is in sugar camp, they only have a couple races a year

i dont ride any tracks so i dont mind really.

the trail system by us is improving at least so thats nice. we have almost 2 hundred miles of trails within a half hour drive in the truck. i also have about 100 out of my door at home, 60 of it is gravel or black top though which kind of sucks. it is a decent system though even with the black top and gravel.

hurley has a good system but that is at the northern tip of wi

overall the trails over here are pretty good lol
