Ypu will need to compensate your jetting for the new exhaust.

Probably around a 155 main.

Johndoe and pipeless are the jetting experts around here.

Yes you will have to re-jet. It depends on how many disks you have in. With my e-series (also has disks) I run a 158-160 main jet with all 12 disks in and the air box lid off. With 6 disks I run a 155 main jet with the air box lid off. If I have the air lid on I can get away with a 152 sometimes. As long as you are in there I'd recommend putting a 42 pilot in to help with cold starts.

You will probably end up with a 155 main jet, it pretty much works with any slip on configuration.

155 is wayyyyyyyy to rich for where I am. I got lucky, 152main and 42 pilot dead on the head first time jettin it. btw get Pro X keihin jets from rockymtn. Cheaper and work great

i only run it in the summer time...its always stored for the winter..and i usually run it between 50 degreese and 75 degreese. what should i do for jets, air filter (or just remove the lid) for the megamax?

Put a 155 main in your carb, and a 42 pilot. Leave your airbox lid on.

Run it wide open, if it stumbles at WOT pull your box lid off and ride it at WOT again, if its still stumbling, you will need to drop down a size in the main jet.

An air filter never hurts to replace.

A stock airfilter isnt bad, but an aftermarket is better.

What brand of air filter is completely up to you.

UNI, Moose, Twin Air,

K&N is over priced in my opinion.

Im a UNI fan.

Like i said run a 155 main with the lid on. with or without a aftermarket filter and see how it runs. Should run a little rich, then take the lid off. Hopefully pullling the lid off will lean it out and make it almost perfect jetting. But i am no expert.

Thats just what I did and it worked for me.

After you get it running good, no bog off idle, no hesitation anywhere, ride it for about an hour and pull the plug.

The tip should be a cardboard brown color and the threads black.
