2003 z400 fan problems

Fan will not come on it will if I jump a wire to it works fine anyhelp please & if I jump it to make it work can I put a toggel switch on it so it dont wear down the battery thanks

sounds dumb, and im sure you already have, but make sure the coolant is full in the radiator. air pockets often dont get hot enough to trip the switch even when the engine is hot.

Ive heard of that will check butt think it is one of the sending units on the radiator does anyone know how to check them

The best thing you can do is make an account on

they have an entire ltz400 forums page and there are alot of pretty sharp fellas on there.

You get replies almost instantly also.

I'm suzcen. SpasticZ400 is my username there. Did you check your fuse. It's a sure fire fix in most cases. It's on the right side of the radiator.
