400ex help!

i recently put a stage two hot cam and a 11.1 high comp wisco piston in my 400ex and and everthing was great runs like a rape date but i changed the oil and i seen fine metal in the oil filter. so i pulled the cam cover or valve cover off and i can see that the cam is notched out verry little along the sides of the cam... buy a new cam and flush out the case?

Is your timing chain and timing chain tensioner tight?

I cant see anything else causing the cam to get marred like that unless you didnt put the dowel pins back on or tighten the cam sprocket on properly.
