The long bolt chewed into the plastic washer/donut piece last time I used (musta had it set wrong) so you'll want to either replace that piece, add a steel washer, or appropriate substitute.
This thing was over $150 new and was probably used 5 or 6 times... personally found it easier to just use gloved hands and a friend's help to swap springs out.
But if you are stuck trying to change out those ******* big springs by yourself, you need some sort of tool like this.
