so im testing out my new rev limiter box i am running it wide open and let off in 5th gear and a big puff of white smokes come out but it doesnt do it through the gears. I stopped and revved it up at idle and white smoke doesnt come out i hope i dont need new piston rings

yes i have the 450r carb with 52 pilot 170 main jet 2.5 turn on a/f screw, curtis sparks racing full exhaust, 11:1 wiseco piston standard bore, and stage 2 hotcam, and uni w/o airlid

Hmm sounds about rite, only thing I could suggest is maybe a tad lean on the main try bumping it up one or two sizes and try again it doesn't continuously smoke does it or just when you let off full out?

If you had excessive oil in the oil tank (overfull) than you would find oil inside the airbox as it would be pushed out by the crankcase breather.
If the oil levels good and not overfull and your not getting any oil inside the airbox than chances are your rings are toast.
Its also possible your burning up carbon deposits from poor fuel or improper jetting.
You losing any oil?

i checked the oil it is overfilled but i am not losing any oil i havent checked the crankcase breather yet though i hope the rings are not bad again i just changed them 2 months ago :(

I put the 175 in today rides good not too much fuel revs out without bogging but still smokes when I let off in 5th gear wide open so I guess a higher main? 175 sounds big enough already with my mods though
Compression test, your rings might be going.
