300ex top end rebuild???

My buddies 300ex kicked the bucket finally and it needs a new top end, whats the best setup for a motocross trail machine? still needs to be reliable. let mne know, i was looking at the wiseco 11:1 comp. I have a race ready 450r, and i dont know much about 300ex's...let me know.

Bore it out .020, get a 300ex carb, uni filter and a good after market exhaust. You will be suprised at what it will do.

Ive heard the sparks exhaust is the best for the 300ex

I think he means 400ex carb....we did that and it works, I think we still have it somewere.
