View Full Version : how do i limit the speed on a preditor 50?

i bought my 4 year old a used preditor 50 last night and feel it is a little fast right now.


how can i slow it down to a crawl for a few days?

isn`t there a throttle stop adjust screw on the thumb throttle housing? screw it in and it stops the throttle from opening up as much as it can.

In addition to the throttle screw I believe that it should also have had a "jumper" wire or clip on the cdi box that limits the revs and really slows it down. Since you bought it used it has most likely been removed. Find the cdi box. It it has two screws on it just run a piece of wire from one screw to the next.

no stop screw that i see.


I have a polaris 90 that i removed the CDI limiter from. I will check on the 50.
