Looking to change the seat foam on my 88/89 seat. It doesn't have stock foam in it now and it is absolutely the hardest seat I've seen (or should say felt). It's like sitting on a cinder block. Can anyone recommend a 88/89 style replacement foam that fits and feels like stock 88/89? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I just got some Quadtech Foam for my 88 (Its 88/89 style foam) Havent rode on it yet, but the overall fit/finish is very nice. Seems to be soft, but not too soft.

It was $75, but seems worth it.

Apparently, you've never sat on a '04 YFZ? :D Those seats are the hardest thing I've ever sat on, but I don't sit down enough for it to matter. Everybody that sits on my hybrid, the first thing they say is how soft the seat is...and I think mine is 88/89 foam. I know it's not 86/87 foam because it's too tall to be 86/87 foam. I was also gonna say Quad Tech would probably be your best bet if you can't find it on the forums or Ebay.

I tried CEET brand foam years ago and that was like a cinder block too.
Maybe they changed it by now , I dont know.

The one on eBay for like $50, is pretty nice and a medium softness. I have an aftermarket one on my Laeger and it's almost too soft.

Thanks for all the info and replies. It must have the CEET foam in it now as it's pretty rough. I had an 03 YFZ450 and it even seems harder than that.

Yeah you can find both the 86-87 and the 88-89 seat foam on Flea-Bay. I think that there asking like $75.00 for the foam?
Thanks Higgy
