i'm looking for some kind of low-profile knee protection. i realize there are a bunch of mx-specific options available, alot with shin protection as well, most of which use at least some hard plastic protection.

all i want is a little padding between the inside of my knee and the tank. they are tender to touch right now!

i am thinking a low-profile volleyball knee pad.. has anyone ever tried something like that? i am mostly concerned about the pads bunching and moving, since the majority of the time the knee is obviously in a pretty deep bend. unless anyone has a better suggestion.. i am open to ideas!

my son had the same issues and we tried a bunch of pads and most slid or where too thick. For the last year he has been using elbow pads from walmart lol just enough padding to keep the inside of the knees from getting sore and they dont move

have these and love them. insides of my knees never get sore and no restrictions in movement. barely even notice them.

I also run the 661 knee pads and they're great, but I wear the Tomcat knee pads with MX shorts. If I was to look at an under the pant option, i'd be looking at the lower profile 661 Kyle Strait's. They have the nice padding on the insides of the knees that you are looking for.

Yep, the Kyle Strait's, like my Tomcats have a hard shell knee with a soft fabric covering it.

I had the same idea with volleyball knee pads and everyone thought I was crazy. They're fairly cheap so I was planning on buying some before the next time I ride. I'm just skeptical how they will work being worn sideways so they're between me and the tank.
