Maxxis tires for mx. The standard mx or the razr cross? Running 18-10-8

Thoughts?

I have run Razr MX's for years and they are a great MX tire. Just go with the standard MX's.

I like the standard razrs for hard pack, easy to drift with.
But in the soft stuff they are totally useless IMO, they just spin forever, feels like ur dragging the swingarm everywhere, even if your not.

I thought they were good until tried the MXR6's and Quadcross's.
The hook up is totally different, the bike can actually pull out of the soft corners.
And they stick like glue on hard pack. If you are trying to drift in a hard packed berm, you really have to go for it to get the rear to come out.
But they will wear a lot faster.

And the front regular razr MX's IMO are too small and narrow, they just push in the turns.

And I'm talking about the normal hard compound Razr MX's, the soft ones u can get from the Pro's are supposed to be a lot better.

I have a lot of friends that really like the razr cross fronts though.

I have both razr and razr 2 fronts and agree the razr mx fronts are good on hard pack and i like them for our arena cross stuff but thats it. Mx6 work good but they wear so fast.
Anybody running the DWT tires?
