So today i joined the 2 wheels and bought my first street bike. At 5"1' my choices were limited so i purchased a 2011 CBR125R. Does anybody have any experience with these?? I am very green on 2 wheels so i think this will be a good starter.

the new ones like your look way better... I walked up to one in the dealership and I thought it was a 600 at first.

Thanks guys, The main reason for purchase was for back and forth to work, its only 17km so i wasn't to concerned with the Hp. roads not to busy around here.
And it is way nicer than the older model 125s. it looks and handles more like a real bike, not a scooter.
And i'm pretty sure if its under powered we can fix that very easily:devil: i've already checked out the 170cc big bore kits.
And that gay a** pipes gonna be the first thing to go

They are pretty slow, perfect for people new to bikes, but don't expect to be going 160mph and doing wheelies with it.

It was only 3100.00 before taxes pdi and freight. It came to $4000.00.
It should get around 350km to $8 worth of fuel. not sure how that converts to miles though.
No wheelies or racing for this old gal. not yet anyway. gotta get the basics of road riding first.

thats pretty good mileage. I see used ones on kijiji for about 2000-2500. I was thinking about it but I don't like the old style. And after riding 750's, 600's, and a 1000 I might not have much fun on it...

Besides being lite and agile, if you have every riden anything of any size, you'll hate that thing... and when they run pretty close in price... just fork out the extra 1000 bucks and get a 600 or 900..
