What are the best mx tires for a 400ex? Best grip and good sliding but last long. Front and rear setup.

Depends on the dirt you're riding on..

Rzr Cross fronts and Kenda Klaw soft compound last year, and will practice on them this year.. I don't like the klaws, but the Rzr cross fronts are good..

I want to try these http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/43/81/165/723/-/31257/STI-Tech-4-MX-ATV-Tire for this season, But I havent seen any reviews yet. Anyone try these yet?

Hoosier and Goldspeed seem to be about the best..

Funny you say that chronic,

i have been wanting to try the STI XC tires for a while now. They look alot like the Maxxis cross.

I like 4 ply tires since im not 100% MX or 100% XC. I like doing a little of both.

So many new things to try... soo little funds.

I hear you Cody, I spent all my money snowboarding this winter.. Forgot to budget for what I'd need this year, lol.

At 109$ for 2 with free shipping from RM, I'm going to get a set soon..

What do y'all guys thing about the itp holeshots mxr6?

a decent tire but i dont think you'll get the longevity or hookup you would out of a razr mx.

Ok thanks. I'm settled on the maxxis razr mx. What size front and back?

should be using 18s on the rear and for fronts thats up to you.between 19-21,the shorter the tire the sharper the turning radius but also less ground clearance.20 is generally a good one tho.

Did you read the customer reviews on those sti tires? 4 out of 4 bad reviews.

Before you buy the 18's where do you ride? Cause where I ride the motocross tracks get so rutted and cupped out that you can't run 18's without dragging your swingarm everywhere. I'm not saying they're bad for mx, cause they're great. Just make sure you're not riding in this silty/sandy crap like I am cause you'll regret the ride height being so low.

I'm riding at 3 palms. It's more hard/soft dirt not sand.
