what is the best gearing for a 400ex with 20in rear tires and to be used for mostly mx or track riding?

What year is it cuz they changed the gearing in 05?

It is a 2004 If my not mistaken that is 15 38 stock.. On my 01 I run 13 38 and that is prity good on the track and has awesome torque.... but you have to shift more and you loose top speed.

Ok thanks. What about a 14 front and 38 rear? I don't want to lose too much top speed.

with 20's you really want to be at 13/38 .14/38 would be good with 18's which you should look into if you want to spend alot of time on the track.

the ones on my quad an they're for sale with the wheels and tire balls.18"razr mx rear,20"razr cross front.

I have been looking into the maxxis tires. I just don't know which ones to pick. I want go traction and for them to last long.

Are they stickers on regular mud plugs? Maybe a factory rider thing.. Just send me yours :uhoh: , haha

Spider-graphix makes custom mud plug graphics for like $40 or somethin like that. Its not real expensive.

I just got new maxxis razr 6 ply tires and i've found that new they have way to much traction but when the rears get used for awhile then there good but i wouldn't go with razr's for mx.

they're called razr mx,they're 4 ply i believe,different than the razr 1's which you have.yes the mud plugs are off a factory quad.dwt plugs with factory stickers on them.

I know that man i wasn't saying that the setup you said was bad i was just saying that the razr 1's have to much grip for mx.. btw what do tire balls do?
