around here guys have been removing them. Fans never seem to come on. Not sure if i would tho just to be safe. Been wanting to clean up my wiring. Think its possible to move the regulator up front under my hood?

I don't run a fan. You can remove the regulator.

Noob question but what is the point of a regulator with no battery? Im not running lights besides my coolant light and my kill switch

Buy yourself a racing wiring harness, looks a lot better than hacking on your stock one. You can remove all skid plates, remove headlight, I believe you can remove tank shield under the tank, rejet for no air box lid, remove your stock kill switch an add. Dirt bike style kill switch or just use your key/tether...hope this helps

If i remove my kill switch i would need to get a clutch with hot start correct? Never had to use it yet

Moose racing makes great crf/yzf levers. I recommend getting the index finger hot start rather than the thumb one, my thumb hot start keeps falling out. I would get frame gusseted dude, mine is getting gusseted and pc'ed at the moment...will deff be a lot stronger and look better

Deff get rid of your skid plates... Even the plastic one under your motor. They aren't needed on tracks and reduce a lot weight. Send your head to get ported man. Get yourself an FCR carb too

Agree'd, I run a full chassis polly skid for MX.
Crazy to remove the plastic stock engine skid, it weighs almost nothing and cracking those cases can cost u more then a grand.

Here in Indiana/Kentucky area, soil is prime. No rocks, or anything. I dont see the need for any engine skid if you are track riding only. If you need one, you obviously have some crappy tracks, cause i dont know of one place that i ride that has rocks that can hit your motor.

A lot of the pros keep their fan on, I'm guessing they feel it's more important than the weight savings you get from taking it off.

Unless your air temp doesn't get over 65*F during the year, taking it off is pointless.

your fine with no fan as long as you aren't lugging around. the honda factory teams were not running them a few years back. remember too the bikes don't run fans. just historically quad riders lug around and just idle alot, where bike riders usually maintain a speed high enough to stay up.

i take it you haven't traveled to many different parts of the country to race, dirt is extremely different in different parts of the country.

i really don't think by removing any part off the quad makes you any faster although when racing mx you don't need a fan my buddy is an a class rider and his quad was broke so he raced a bone stock 450r and won a few a class races with it so the story is it's not the bike it's the rider lol
