What do you all think about the rincon and prairie 650s? I am debating weather or not to get one and would like some insight. Will they keep up with the 400ex's? Are they well built bikes and which do you perfer? Thanks for your help!

no experiance but the rincon 650 did beat every other quad in the baja 100 including all the suped up 400s and it was stock so thats gotta tell you something about it. It beat everything even the all out desert race quads so id amagine they are a great quad but iv never driven one

Yeah thats what i heard but i have really wanted a sport quad but my parents want me to get a 4x4... my dad who rides a KX 500 says that the 2 wheel drive 400ex wont go all the same place that he and 4x4 quads can go....so i dont really know what to get im a little confused

The Prarie 650 has brutal power and will beat a stock 400ex in a drag. Selectable 2x4 and 4x4, selectable locking front differential, electronic gauges/odometer, etc. It is physically huge though - just too big for me to want to ride in the woods. If the size doesn't bother you then it may very well be a nice compromise. And I would beg to differ with your dad on the statement that a 400ex can't go where a dirtbike and a 4x4 quad can go. A 400ex can go just about everywhere a dirtbike can go (except completely insane hillclimbs) and just about everywhere a 4x4 quad can go (except huge mud bogs), but a 400ex CAN go, in my opinion, everywhere that a dirtbike and a 4x4 quad can go together. I.e. a 4x4 quad can't do a huge insane hillclimb that would stop a 400ex, but that dirtbikes scoot up, and a dirtbike can't go through those huge mud bogs where the 4x4 quads are at home. If you are riding a 400ex in a group with dirtbikes and 4x4 quads you are going to be going everywhere they go together.

it all depends what you want to do with the quad, if you want to do mostly trail riding then go with the ex but if you like the mud then go with the 4x4's :D

Yeah Its All in what you wanna do with the bike. Your not gonna get that 650 to high in the air. but then again your not gonna pull alot with the EX

I beat my dads Prairie 650 on my completly stock 400ex. But there very close in a drag race. The Prairie dosnt jump well, its heavy, its big for woods, not too good wheelies, its not because its not made for doing that. Great in the mud though.

:huh my friend has a rincon 650 and it aint fast. In the dirtwheels mag it was always behind the prairie 650 and grizzly and sportsman 700... A stock 400ex will waste it completely.
