Neck brace

Does anyone wear aneck brace racing xc? I can see with mx you would crash more & the odds of getting seriously hurt are higher. I am going to start xc racing again & want to know if it would be wise to have one.

I race XC and wear the leatt brace. It is wise to wear one but not a must. I wear one because I would hate to have something dumb happen and be a parapalegic. Definately a good idea!

I wear my leatt everytime I ride. Its definitely save me in a couple of crashes. I can't even tell it on. Its a must for me! Well worth the money. I got the club.

I also have the least club II i think i got it for like $250. I wear it all the time. Just seems logical to me lol

XC is just as dangerous as MX once you get comfortable with your speed in the woods. Them darn tree's hop right out in front of you.

thanks, the omega brace looks pretty good. looks like a bit less cumbersome than the leatt and alpinestars, and looks like you get a bit more mobility with rotating your head etc. you like it a lot?

I heard alot of good things about the Leatte ones from people and by looking at reviews.

Not to take this off topic, but is there anyway to make a custom neck brace so you wouldn't have to spend about 300 bucks on one?

The Atlas neck brace is incredible. It allows the most range of motion and a lot of the pro motocross guys are wearing them including some people from Geico Honda. Racer X and Transworld both gave it great reviews. Plus they're $30 cheaper than the Leatt.
