i believe an FMF power bomb will work. I think its your only other option next to getting a new stock header. did you try sanding it down to make it fit?

You really dont gain much from changing the header on these quads due to its design. Its restrictive period b/c of the dual output and way it has to curve.

Buy a stock one and be happy.

i lost 1 n a half to 2 inches of my header inside the old silencer so its to short and im not good with a welder

Find a cheap stock one, Grind down the welds on the inside and paint it black. Just as good as FMF

well yeah that sounds logical.. the whole reason i didnt buy a whole system and bought the hmf pipe is because of this post http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=246519

if u look down its got a dyno chart with the hmf slip on vs e-series full system and the hmf slip on was better

I don't think you can buy just the hmf header but there good to i have no trouble with mine. I think you've got to buy them with the silencer though.

yeah thats why im looking at the fmf, big gun is 199 on ebay and a Pro Circuit is 203 on http://www.jcmotors.com

the stock one new is 154 on http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com but ganna take 7-10 days cuz they dont stock them and 177 shipped on http://www.hondapartsnation.com

i really dont want to buy a used one and im hoping to get it pretty fast so im trying to stay away from ebay.. i also need the gaskets too.. unless some one has a nice used one to sell and will ship it pretty fast im buying new

Nothing wrong with a used stock header. Ive bought a few of them off forum member for about 40 bucks and had no problems.

It seems to me someone tried something funky on your EX with the header or somehow it welded itself on there (not too easy).

yeah well either it welded itself or it rotted out and the rest is really stuck in there

and as for a used header for some reason used always takes longer to get shipped to you and i ride ALOT and dont know what ima do with myself... so i bought a new oem header and the gaskets cuz im pretty sure the old ones are ganna be shot, good time to grind the welds is before i even put the new ones on

i hoped to be riding today after i got it jetted but thats blown out of the water now isnt it...

Used stock headers in perfect shape are only like $20 on ebay or craigslist. Get one of those the only difference is the other ones might look a bit cooler.
