My front front fender bolt and nut are stuck in the gas tank. I cant separate the two because the nut that's in bedded into the gas tank is spinning. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

common problem both mine were stuck, take a flat head screwdriver and wedge in the space between the metal piece and the plastic tank if that dont work you may have to yank it all off and get the bolt out in a vise and epoxy the gromet back in

The easiest was is with a drill. Put a socket in a drill and spin the bolt/nut in the gas tank until it heats the plastic up enough for the nut to come out of the gas tank. Then do like boneless suggested and epoxy or JB weld the nut back in the gas tank.

I did the socket and drill trick and just used jb weld. It was a little nerve racking but works great. For a while i just took a flat head screwdriver and would be carefull and pry the plastic off with the bolt still in. That really sucks!
