View Full Version : Ltr450 shocks on a ex?

I was wondering if anybody knows if ltr450 shocks would fit a 400ex? Any i deas? I found some for dirt cheap and i was wondering if anyone has tried it

I'm pretty sure the fronts will work with some modification to the top eye. All the front shocks off of the 450s nowadays will fit on the 400 with some grinding to the top eye.

You would never be able to get the LTR arms to fit on a 400ex unless you cut the A Arm mounting brackets and rewelded/relocated them.

BeastlyWarrior is right, LTR shocks are too long because a LTR is almost 50" wide, so they make look lower but they are actually longer due to the width of the LTR.

They are about 18 1/2" eye to eye. BTW

I think by "lt" he meant "long travel". yea they would probably work with long travel a-arms. just get some measurments and go from there,
