DUDE! I know your bike. I was having my 465 dynoed while your bike was being finished up. I saw your numbers and was very impressed. What were the final #'s with the bottle?

after I got it back from trinity I did a alky conversion on it and with its current nitrous jets it puts down 78hp on bottle and 46off bottle. That seems to be the limit for the head gasket

No it doesn't Nitrous Oxide is a flammable gas and NOS is a company that makes Nitrous Oxide bottles and kits for all types of motors.

Nitrous Oxide is not flammable!

Its flammable when compressed!

oldnumberseven you are correct! The movies have made people think that it is flamable but it is not. When a nitrous system fails it is usually the secondary fuel supply that gets injected with the n20 that causes the explosion not the n20 itself. Glad to see there is smart people on the forum unlike that connection place:grr

Hey! We should get together for a glamis run here soon! Are you duning that machine or just running the hill?

bad465
03-04-2003, 01:45 AM
80% duner and 20% hill shooter! I may be out there this weekend, but it will be a last minute thing...... thats a killer looking bike I'd love to hook up and put the beatdown on some rappies! p.s If we meet up dont run the silver rappy I will be with its a trinity 727 with nitrous 112.9rwhp!

I have a trin 727 out in the garage......wait till it is finished.......I promise it will be the sickest quad the sands of glamis have ever seen. I will email you a few pics later tonight.

Wait until i build my 600 turbo bike :devil
J/K those bikes are sweet, and the best part...there fast. But my bike will be also. 114 hp without the turbo........drool..........:D

you had better put efi on it I have seen many turbos bikes that make huge power on the dyno and cant hardly get up the hill because of fuel delivery issues. A good turbo bike must be efi. Trinity's turbo nitrous bike got beat at 4 stroke wars by a none turbo none nitrous sparks bike if that tells you anything. Trinity's bike did around 108 I think and the sparks bike does high 70's.

is the quad with lightn bolts on it the one that was for sale on ebay? someone has to remember it was posted here like 3-5 days ago
someone said that it ran like chit, i dont know justy repeating what i read

bad465
03-04-2003, 02:17 AM
Yes the bike was on ebay I was feeling the waters out. Who ever told you it ran like chit was full of chit! This bike puts down 78hp and will run the hill like no other 400 I have ever seen at glamis. The only 400 thats ever run with me was a full drag sparks bike with no starter no battery nothing fully striped with a 120lbs rider on it, and my bike was only putting down around 65hp at the time. This bike run high 4's in the 300' also.

Yea its a 2001 so it is efi....i only get the best :devil

roostu are you talking about a cbr600f4 motor in a quad? If so you will need a chit load of hp to make up for all that weight! I have seen many mybrids and few of them even though very powerful can run the hill well. You need to do all the light weight things you can to keep that baby in check! Good luck I'd like to see pics if youve started it.

What kind of wheels are those oldnumberseven ???
They look pretty kool.

bad465
03-04-2003, 02:36 AM
itp magnums 12inch very sweet looking but heavy as all get out! They are the sweetest wheels to look at as long as you are not concerned about weight.

oldnumberseven
03-04-2003, 02:57 AM
Yep 465 is correct ITP Magnums. They are for sale.....they suck up to much HP's. I am waiting on a set of hypers. That Raptor I am building is only about an 80HRSE bike. We looked into an EFI system but decided against it. running fcrs on her. It will be 100% duner (like my 465) I love reliability......nothing like having a bike take a crap out at china wall and having to be towed back.

old#7 your bike will look sweet with hypers on it! are you gonna run regular 20inch haulers on it or 22"s again?

roostu
03-04-2003, 03:22 AM
The bike im modeling mine after does 84 mph up comp hill. Thats pretty good if you ask me. But yes your right, I will have to make up for the extra weight. I will be sure to post pics when its done! Oh and it is a GSXR 600.

So, if Nitrous isnt flamable, what creates a HP advantage? Or where can I go to basically see how a Nitrous set-up works?
I'm no dummie about quads, but I have never had any experience with Nitrous Systems (never needed to).

2 things.

1. NOS is air not fuel. Remember that air fuel mixture is around 14.7:1 so altering the air is more of a change then altering the fuel. I suppose that is y you get so much change when you change both like a alcohol/nos set up.

2. All this talk about these 80hp+ bikes running like chit. I am pretty sure if I even rode one of these rocker bikes, there would be plenty of chit in the ol shortzers to go around

03-04-2003, 03:40 PM
does anyone pics of the hills these high HP quads are running?

About how much $ does it take to build these monsters?
