Sorry im just calling it how I see it... Joel has a lot to prove and I think hes riding over his head hes not as fast as Wienen and he crashed trying to keep up. Im not talking smack on anyone Joel is an amazing rider and I don't wanna see him get hurt that's why Im hoping he can keep it together and be consistent and not try to go balls out and crash.... Remember anytime Joel won last year Wienen wasn't racing.

Well, I just got home from this race. I watched both motos and practice......Hetrick is anywhere except over his head. He is experienced, fast and smooth. I watched him go by Natalie and nearly passed Chad twice. He is exactly where he needs to be. But not even close to beign "over his head"

I have to agree about Hetrick belonging up front. He has earned his way to the front. As for Natalie, he might be a little older than some of these younger guys but he obviously still has enough to kick some a**. Lets not forget about some other older fast guys who were past champions at an advanced age. Think Tim Farr and Doug Gust. Both champions past the age of 30 and as a matter of fact Gust was pushing 40 for his last championship I believe.

Yea I went and read the front page write up and it says chad hit him slightly and pushed him off the track, he didn't crash on his own so I will go back and delete that post. Like I said from the start Im not hating on Joel I think he is amazingly fast and talented I just didnt wanna see him get hurt pushing it to far! Didnt mean to cause an uproar... :x

I highly doubt that. Chad will only be getting faster each and every round with more dialing on done on that yamaha. I highly doubt hetrick is going to be able to move wienen.

Joel is ready without question for the pro class. He is on that top tier level with out a doubt.

Harve will put the kabosh on any drama and make it clear before next round that any dangerous riding will result in a dq.

yea buddy, im finishing my bachelors at western illinois, so I wont be done with classes till the 4th round I think, hopefully make a few races this summer. How about you? still kicking up there in michigan?

I wish...just about to finish up the year an am applying to med school next year so I gave up racing, over the summer my bike stalled in the air at my friends track and I face planted into a clay landing, sold the bike the next day.

This was my first national in awhile and I have to say I was highly dissapointed in how the Victory Sports staff handled accidents on the track. College boy race should have been red flagged from the accident between Scottie Vechery and Cam Reimer. Scottie was knocked out for a few minutes and Cam had a compound break in his leg and was unable to move. Also both quads were left in the middle of the track at the bottom of the camel back. Instead of red flagging the race the track workers thought it would be best to drag the riders off the track without knowing the extent of anyone's injuries. They also tried to remove Scottie's helmet, luckily his dad was there to prevent that until medical workers could treat him. Cam had to wait til the race was over to be loaded on the mule and transported to the ambulance.

Seems pretty unprofessional to come argue with a bunch of kids on the internet but if this is the tree your looking to bark up...First Joel never beat Chad heads up, anytime he won last season Chad was injured. Second there is an awesome picture of Joel posted in the open forums section of him standing on the side of the track like a child giving Chad a thumbs down...Pretty professional huh :) Third and finally you should go post in this thread im sure they would like to hear what you have to say...

P.s. Its pretty funny when a pro atv racer posts on his facebook that he got taken out when the rest of the world saw two pro's go for the same line and the lesser pro got pushed off the track...Thats racing sorry.

i give Joel alot of respect for the thumbs down deal. think about it, the young man has one of the few factory rides available, tv camera's and media photogaphers in every corner, hundreds of kids lined up on the fence's wathching thier hero's....how many others would have flipped the bird or thrown something at chad????? Joel kept his emotions in check, let the other rider know he's not happy with what happened and did not make a fool of him self or team in front of the fans and camera's.
