^I was going to do this mod, but decided to keep the stock carb since I will not be building my motor. I'll just be adding a stage 1 hot cam and a sparks key.

^Just the adapter. That pic is from this board just to show how it fits. I do have a 450r carb I would sale and it is very clean. It's on eBay at the moment.

Sorry for the delay, I haven't been on here in a few days. All PM's replied to. I can work out a deal for the adapter and carb as most wanted to know. (THE CARB IN THE PIC IS NOT MINE, THAT PIC IS FROM THE 'HOW TO THREAD', but I have one just as clean.)

I also have a 450r throttle cable I'm willing to sale as well. $15 shipped for it and it's brand New still in the plastic.

Wow! I used a piece of 2”rubber hose and a few clamps, total cost, less then five bucks.
It’s been 4 years now and it still works just fine.
Sorry dude but that’s a little high for an adaptor.
Plus I got a used 450 carb for $75.00
Carb, adaptor and cable, total cost $105.00.
Oh wait, hot start, $25.00
Total cost was $130.00

- I know I'm still fairly new on this site, but how about you view the link in my first post before you decide to spill on the price of my adapter. I paid $50 shipped for it supporting a forum member who had them custom made. My price is now $40 shipped.

- My throttle cable price is fair, and I got my carb price from the average going rate of the ones I saw on eBay, so I did my homework. If you are not interested, then don't post. You could have sent me a constructive PM instead -_-.

Sorry you paid so much for it, and I do understand you wanting to recope your money. It’s not my fault you paid that much for it and that may be the going price for it. But it never hurts to inform everyone that there another option. If it were you wanting do that mod. I’ll bet you would have liked to know how to have done it cheaper before you bought the adaptor.
Fifty bucks for a little aluminum adaptor that can be turned in 10 minutes is a little steep.

I understand where you are coming from as well, but to do that 'in' someones for sale thread seemed a little rule to me #shrug. I have a big bore SE-R project that I'm building, so I'm use to paying premium prices for quality parts. I don't know what all that is involved to set up the machine to create the adapter, but I've seen smaller pieces go for more.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in the cable or adapter, I'm willing to work on a shipped price. I think my carb will sale on eBay soon.

Glad that worked for you.

There are many ways to do this, however I wouldn't want MY quad looking like it was put together "Red-Green" style with $5 worth of hose clamps and rubber hose from Home Depot.

I also don't think there should be "Price Cops", his prices are more then fair, and he even appears open to negotiation. If you aren't interested in his items then don't criticize his prices here, do it via PM

Sorry I might have stepped on your tows, but my intention wasn’t to do so.
I see these adaptors all the time and they look very neat and clean.
I do think there a little pricy for what it is. I do wonder how well the seal around the fitting without an O ring though. My intent was only to inform and not do harm but tone is hard to get across on the web.

As for looking like Red Green worked on my bike is far from reality. The intake tubes are made out of rubber anyway, so adding an extension made from the same material is not Red Green stile work.

The reason that people buy the adapter is 1. it looks good and makes a better fit and finish 2. It is hard to keep the intake from leaking without out the zrpilot adapter and i know that from experience.
