So after burning up 3 sawzalls in the past year I'm looking for a set of cutting torches to use for cutting up scrap metal. I found these and was wondering if they look like a good choice.

Looks like it comes with everything I will need and it will cut up to 1 1/4''...... Unfortunetly I have no experience with these things so I was also wondering if they are easy to use? Thanks

pretty easy to use once u get your mixture set right... the link seems to have everything you will need but if u cut alot those bottles wont last long.

use oxy-lp instead of acetylene, its way cheaper!

cutting torches are very easy to use. Like Boneless said, once you get the set right. And setting them isnt hard if you know what you are doing.

Really fun to use too, think.

i would go pick up a set of smith torches and find a local place you can rent oxy and lp or acetylene tanks. that way you get larger tanks to use without the cost of buying them.

acetylene is hotter, but you can run propane as well. but you need the torch for it.

its easy, its all about being comfortable just like welding. take your time and learn how to mix it right. all that and a steady hand and your good.

beats the hell out of any cutting tools if you dont need a machine edge or precise cut.

Just beware that there are dangers with cutting torches, just like everything.... Be careful when first using one!!
