noob guessitmate jetting ?

buddy has a 05 450R with K&N filter, no airbox lid, and a yosh slip on. He had problems with it seeming to be really lean. Checked and it has a 118 Kehlin main jet in it. That seems really lean to me, even fro stock. I swapped it out for the smallest jet I had in my stash, a 152 Kehlin. Is that even in the ballpark? He says it runs much better but I want to know what yall are running with similar mods.

i had a 165 in mine up one on the pilot and 3rd clip. 2 1/2 out on the a/f screw.

i had a stock motor with k&n, no lid, including the yoshi

i am less than 500ft elevation also

118 is stock go for aroun a 165-170 main 3rd notch about 2.25 turns on a/f

Do y'all think a 185 would be too much. I see that is what it recommends with the hrc kit installed

prolley ...only one way to find out id say nuthing more than a 180 i had similar mods with a 178 and that was a full system
