I'm trying to put put needle on 3rd notch but it's too stripped is it that important

The 2 Philip screws to remove the needle but I got them out now I'm just confused still on how to put on the third notch from the flatend

Try using an extractor, the square types work best. Gonna have to drill the head a bit and try that.

Could also try drilling out the screw itself. If your carefull enough drilling off the head you might have enough to grab it with vise grips. Or you might have to drill it all the way out and possibly tap it for the next size.

That part can be had alone, its 50 bucks from motosport. Id try ebay first.

ive got these things called grabits i bought off some tv add i seen and they have saved me several times specialy when i have to get out a snapped bolt/screw

most anyone uses a count down from the top explanation so i wil as well.start at the top going down.the 400ex stock is on the 2nd notch down.to add more fuel from idle to 1/4 throttle transitions move the clip holding the needle one notch down thereby raising the needle one notch thus adding more fuel.vice versa for the opposite.for stripped screws use easy-outs acquired from napa or similar store.some drilling may be required.
