Anybody know If they changed the pivot bearings through the years? Also I have an un-identified aftermarket swinger 88/89 style wondering If most companies used the stock bearings?
Oh, one more thing, anyone here used the plastic bushings instead of needle bearings? How did they work?

As far as I know, almost all of the use the stock bearings. I have used the poly bushings and I love them. I won't go back.

I've used Oil Impregnated Bronze bushings -SAE 841
You can buy them from McMaster Carr and they're an exact fit!
No problems! And when they do wear out...they're easier to remove than needle bearings

I just ordered some of the poly ones off eBay. For $12 shipped I figure they're worth a shot..
If I'm not happy with them I will definitely check out the bronze ones.
